Organizations in today’s chaotic business environment recognize that the ability to effectively manage change is not only a strategic advantage, but also an essential to doing business successfully in the 21st century.
Leaders need to be aware of their attitudes toward, and abilities for, leading others through organizational change. It takes both effort and practice to develop effective change leadership skills, but the payoff will be worth it.
This course includes the following:
Part 1: Leadership and Change – An overview of what change looks like, where it comes from, and how the best managers handle change effectively. Participants discuss the forces that cause change and organizational behavior.
Part 2: Helping Others Manage Change – Ideas for laying the groundwork for change in your group by identifying the forms of resitance to change.
Part 3: Becoming a Change Leader – A disciplined process for ensuring that needed change is implemented. Participants discover what to communicate during times of change.
Part 4: Enhancing Leading Change Skills – Anticipating positive and negative responses to a change initiative. Take what you’ve learned and put the Change Management principles into practice by completing an action plan on something you are currently facing in your workplace.
