Rachel Lewis
Rachel Lewis believes that high school and college does not adequately prepare students for success or real life skills. After graduating with honors from the University of Kansas (in just three and half years) she began formulating ways to help students.
After holding positions as Vice-President of Intellectual Development and ultimately President of Alpha Chi Omega, Rachel ran the equivalent of a small corporation. Her experiences made her realize that having had success and leadership skills taught to her at an early age gave her a competitive advantage, but most of all gave her confidence and perseverance.
Rachel started her own business, Sorority Corner with the intention to help high schools seniors gain confidence prior to college through the recruitment process. She also wanted to work with women through out their four years, assisting with leadership and success skills. Her coaching is given rave reviews by the women she has coached and their parents even more. Rachel has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today – College Edition, Forbes and FOX News.
Rachel has decided to also focus on younger students. She is currently teaching leadership class for high school and college students and working with others looking to gain success skills. Rachel is also currently studying to help exceptionally gifted students who are bored and struggle with their gifts.
Rachel’s book “ Recruitment 101: An Insider’s Guide to Sorority Recruitment” is available on her website, Sorority Corner. Rachel is also an executive producer and co-host of her radio show, MaD Advice Radio, the #1 rated mother and daughter radio show dedicated to helping high school and college age “parents and students survive and thrive”. MaD Advice Radio is a part of the Craving Talk Radio Network. Rachel is a provisional member of the Junior League of Kansas City, Recording Secretary for her alumnae chapter and was selected as a Belle of the American Royal for 2011. She is also an Assistant Dance and Cheer Team Coach at her high school alma mater, Pembroke Hill.
Rachel works with students through training or one-on-one sessions.
